Branding, Logo, & Website Design: GoBinge
GoBinge is an online tool for searching for movies. GoBinge makes it easy for its users to find movies easily, fast, and accurately.
Unlike other movie-finding tools that suggest a movie based on a user’s previous history or what is currently trending, GoBinge’s goal is to find the perfect movie that addresses your interests and mood at the time of the search.

The client was seeking deliverables such as a designed logo and website for their online tool. However, branding for GoBinge was not yet established.
The goal of this project was to:

develop their visual identity; and then,

provide those deliverables.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
As an Account Specialist for GoBinge during my internship at The Digital Marketing Center at Baldwin Wallace University, I worked on this project from the onboarding process to the development of their deliverables. I met weekly and worked with both my director, Tim Marshall, and the client to develop GoBinge’s brand message and visual identity.

Working with the client from the start, enabled me to learn about the onboarding process, such as recognizing and understanding the client's needs and goals. To meet those needs, we followed a planned process shown below to develop brand messaging and deliver a logo and website to the client.
MY WORK
My responsibilities for the GoBinge project included completing the following tasks within the Brand Base Development, Visual Identity Development, and Website Build phases.
BRAND BASE DEVELOPMENT
EXTERNAL SCAN

My first responsibility included conducting an external scan
to gain insight into GoBinge's industry, competitors, and
brand positioning.

BRAND BASE DRAFT
​
Together with the director, we drafted a brand base. This consisted of the company's internal core identity, such as vision, mission, and values, as well as the external brand identity, like position, promise, personality, and presentation.

BUZZWORD LIST
​
I created a list of words that came to mind for this movie
finder tool. Changing the business name was a consideration
in our process. However, this also helped with developing a brand base.

BRAND NAMES LIST
​
I reviewed the list of buzzwords and possible name ideas we created to develop other brand names with available domain names. The client decided to keep the name GoBinge.

VISUAL IDENTITY
MOOD BOARDS

After discussing direction with the client, three different mood boards were created and presented to the client for review and selection. Then, the selected mood board was updated again to satisfy the client's preferences and feedback.

FURTHER LOGO DEVELOPMENT
​
After discussing with the client his preferred direction, seven logo options were drafted in color and black and white reversed out, using his favorite elements from the previous thumbnails.

LOGO DRAFT & THUMBNAILS
​
Multiple logo concepts were created in Canva by combining different visual elements. After presenting to the client, the triangle play sign was preferred for further development into a logo draft.

STOCK PHOTOS
​
A collection of stock photos was selected for future use on the website. These photos were found by searching Adobe Stock, Canva, and Pexels.com.

WEBSITE BUILD
WIX TEMPLATE SELECTION

After exploring different Wix templates, I selected two to start designing two different website concepts, a multiple-page website, and a single landing page website. After discussing with the director about the client's website goal, I moved forward with further developing the single landing page template.

WEBSITE VIDEO
​
A video composed of multiple video clips from Pexels.com was created on Canva to use as a background on GoBinge's home page. This video visualizes the pain point of not being able to find a movie but also shows clips that show the enjoyment of using this tool as a solution. (Full video below)

WEBSITE BUILD

After template selection, I worked on developing the website by adding the logo, navigation pages, images from the photo stock, brand messaging, and adjusting template colors and elements.

OUTCOMES
Upon the completion of this project, the client had a newly designed logo and website. During my time working on this project, the website was not launched because it needed further information from the client. However, the DMC director and the client were both satisfied with all the final deliverables after reviews and presentations.

This experience taught me about taking a new client through the onboarding process and learning the business's needs and goals. It taught me to develop my process for working on brand messaging and designing a logo, and a website for a client.
